The weather is starting to heat up, and I cant even tell you how much we are enjoying the sunshine! This weekend was perfect weather, and we had some great friends and family to enjoy it with!
Friday night Nick and I were able to go out on a little date together. We went to a bar in Albany for a couple hours and we were having a great time when the sitter called and Scarlett was up, and screaming... dang! I felt horrible for her knowing I wouldnt be there for over a half hour, but it was also kind of a bummer to end our evening. We went home and she immediately fell asleep in my arms... I guess it wasnt so bad to come home to her afterall.
Saturday I had a really great crowd at spin, and then we came home and took a nap. That afternoon we went up to Bret and Junes house for a bbq. The babies played outside and Nick and I went on a short 4-wheeler ride. It was so fun, even getting splashed in the mud and a little lost in the woods. I loved his excitement and it reminded me how lucky Scarlett will be to grow up with land and space. That night we had good food and then sat by the fire and talked and laughed with Gordon, June and Bret.
Sunday morning we took a morning nap together and it went WAY later than expected and Nick had to wake me up to go back to Junes house to meet Jackie and Jenna and plan Emilys bachelorette party! It was fun to come up with games and talk about that night. It will be almost 24 hours away from Scarlett, and I cant say Im not nervous... I have never been away from her that long before, but I know she will be great with Beth and Nick and I have nothing to worry about. She took a short afternoon nap in my arms and I loved being able to just soak her up. She is growing like a weed, and I need to remember these moments. That night we went to Beth and Peters house for dinner. It was another fun evening of ice cream on there deck, enjoying the outdoors.
Ahhhh, summer!
