Easter 2012

This was Scarlett's first Easter, and it was lovely! I missed my family so much but tried to remember all that I was blessed with and most importantly the reason we were celebrating!

We were invited Saturday night to June and Brets to dye eggs with the babies. After missed naps and forgotten vinegar we started a little late and the babies definitely were tired and grumpy. We tried to have them participate but they were less than interested, go figure lol. The men had no problem taking over and really enjoyed themselves. Nick made an egg for Scarlett and an egg with all of our names on it. He also made me a "love egg", how romantic haha! We had a nice time and went home early because I knew Sunday would be a busy day.

That morning Scarlett and I woke up early and went to WalMart to buy some angel food cake and strawberries for Nick (he had requested them at about 8pm the night before lol) When we got home I started getting ready and Nick fed her breakfast and got her dressed for church. Once we were all ready we went to Fusion church at the high school for Easter service. I cant say thats the church for us, especially after that particular service, but I know God will lead us to the church for us to raise Scarlett in.

After church we went to Beth and Peters for breakfast. Beth had a very cute Easter basket for Scarlett and she loved playing with the eggs. She would break them and then hand them to us to put them back together. Very cute! It was an awesome breakfast and then we were excited to go home and take a family nap.

We all slept about an hour or so, and they continued sleeping while I snuck into the kitchen to bake brownies for our Easter dinner that night at Nana and Gramps house. When everyone was awake and ready to go we headed over there. Nick and I are just so happy and in love it was nice to take with him and hold hands on the drive. I love that man to death!

We had a ham dinner and talked with family. Scarlett played with some new toys and loved the Russian toy that Madelyn had. It was a nice time and besides missing my family so much it couldn't have been a better day.

Thank you Lord for providing, for blessing us with such a loving family, and most importantly for your Son.
