Which means... Scarlett is 11 months old. Shes turning into such a big girl and I cant believe how many new things she learns every single day.
Scarlett has started standing on her own. She can stand up for about 30 seconds to a minute before either falling back, or more often throwing herself forward lol. She wants me to catch her but a few times I havent been right there to do that and she takes quite a spill. Shes eating really well and has started having bigger pieces that she takes bites out of. She not very interested in drinking out of a cup but will take a few sips if I help her. I havent tried anything but water yet though. She is now very mobile moving cruising along the furniture. She has now been on 16 different planes, and it only gets harder each time :-) She is such a joy. When we say "yayyyy" she starts to clap and mimics the noise. My sister sings "La, la, la" and she tries to sing back but it sounds more like "ra,ra". She loves stuffed animals and her blankets. She is sleeping through the night and usually 1 1/2 - 2 hour naps. When we talk to her she will babble back in a sort of conversation like tone. She loves taking baths but has started trying to stand up against the age. Very predictably she puts every single thing she can in her mouth and loves repetitition. I put a plastic egg from Easter in my mouth and blow it across the room and she wants me to do it over and over again. She loves when Nick is around and is always trying to reach across the room to touch him or find him. She does NOT like when we are hugging or kissing though. She cries until she is hugging us also, he always reminds her that daddy loves mommy too! She is still very slow to warm up to new people and new situations. She is friendly as long as she is with mom, but does not do well when people take her out of my arms. She does really well with Beth and had her first over night! Nick and I went out for an overnight date that was wonderful and Beth put her to bed and had her all night. She did okay, woke up a few times but it was her first time EVER having someone put her down that wasnt me... so I think thats great! She can wave "hello" and goodbye" and say Mama, MomMom, or Mamamamama all the time. She says Dadadada but not quite to Nick yet. I think we both cant wait for that day!
She is starting to move across the room but not really crawling its more of a combination between crawling, sitting, on her belly, rolling, back to crawling, cruising... lol, but she can make it if she really wants to. I know walking is in our near future and although I am excited for her, I know it is a giant leap into independence and I will miss my little baby.
You make our life complete my dear sweet little girl. You bring us so much joy! I love you with every part of my soul, and thank God for you all the time. Happy eleven months little one!
