Dare I say..

That at 10 months old, Scarlett is FINALLY sleeping through the night?!? I think its finally safe to make that claim. We are so happy, shes such a big girl now.

Scarlett is 10 months old. I asked Nick the other day if he could believe that she was going to be one next month and he just became very wide eyed and kept saying Wow! I cant believe it! Wow! Its true, shes growing up!

Her personality seems to be blossoming by the day. She has so much expression and is making new noises. She is sleeping better, and eating more than I know where she is putting it. Shes playing games and mimicing.

-She started sleeping through the night. I realized it was the first time that I layed her down in the evening and didnt see her until the morning. Which also means it was the longest time (even though we were all sleeping) that I had gone without seeing her. I was ready though, I didnt miss her, more than I was excited for her, for us.
-She says the syllables Ba, Na, Ma, Ya, and then Bla, Nya, Zya, and all sorts of new noises. She talks much more it seems.
-She has also been laughing more. This deep, cant hardly catch her breath type laugh. Its the best noise in the world.
-Her and Nick play a game of whos hand goes on top. He slaps the top of her hand with his and keeps it there, and then she pulls her out and slaps the top of his. He loves it! Its very sweet.
-She still likes to be with mom but is doing great with Dad. She reaches for him and touches his face and lays her head on his shoulder.
-Shes taking about 2 hour naps usually twice a day. And only nursing right before nap and bed time. She is still bathing almost every night before bed, then book, rock with mom and nurse and down.
-She likes to sleep  between her two blankets. She tucks one under each arm and lays her head down between them.
-She has a stuffed elephant she LOVES. We call it "Ellie" and she carries it with her everywhere. She hugs it and moves in her walker with it down by her side.
-Shes drinking lots of water from her cups, and started drinking out of a cup that has a straw. We are still practicing drinking pumped milk but she still wants to nurse.
-Her top teeth came in and they are big Karr teeth. They definetly hurt when I am breastfeeding her and Im not sure how to remedy it. Hoping it just gets better ??
- She moves all around walking between furniture. She can cruise around our table and move to the couch and back. Still not crawling but can pivot and scoot around.
-She likes to let go and stand on her own for up to about 10 seconds now. The other day I turned around to see her standing on her own in the living room. She had let go of the table but it was so shocking to see her like that.
-She wants us to walk her around the house ALL the time. She would do that all day if we could manage to keep up.
-She loves yogurt, and puffs, cheese, strawberries, and applesauce. Shes eating what were eating many times for dinner. She had baked ziti the other night and I just kept thinking how big she seems all the sudden.

She is such a joy in our lives. I cant even say enough how much we love this little girl. We cant wait to watch her grow, and learn, and flourish. Thank God for Scarlett, we are so blessed.
