My beautiful little 3 month old

I dont even have words to describe how much I love my child, and the utter shock I feel in knowing how big she is getting so fast. Scarlett is 3 months old. I spent quite a bit of time on that day thinking of all that had transpired 3 months ago, and how being in labor brought me the biggest joy of my life.

Scarlett has changed so much, even just since last month. At 2 months she was mostly sleeping through the night as long as she was swaddled with just one or two wake ups... which she is still doing. Some of the time she sleeps in a basinet next to me and the rest she sleeps in bed with us. Right after we moved here she started having a really awful time in the evenings and just screaming before bed. It was heartbreaking and I was trying everything. It occured to me that I had started to drink caffeine since the Grays are coffee lovers and not only had I rarely had caffeine since she was born, but maybe only a handful of times while pregnant (minus the caffeine in chocolate haah which I seemed to indulge in :-) I felt, at first, that this could not be the cause of the problem due to the coffee in the morning wouldnt affect her at night but started keeping more of  a mental note about her naps and she was having a hard time napping which equalled an over tired baby at night. So, I am officially refraining from all caffeine and it has 100% fixed the problems. We have had not a single night like that in atleats 2 weeks... I am THRILLED!

She is so much fun during the day. She smiles and laughs and makes the cutest, funniest faces. She loves to just lay on a blanket on the floor and look around, or be forward facing (which she is now) in the baby bjorn. We play outside with the dogs a lot and she seems to really like that. Im ready to start reading books because I think she will finally start to look at the pictures and such... right now though, Im pretty much singing all day. Just ask the 12 year old boy I live with haha

She just started to put some weight on her feet. It gets about a second longer each day before she collapses back into my lap. She loves to sit and look around. She seems to be attracted to the tv screen so that has to stay off most of the time (music is much better anyway). She has figured out how to put her fingers in her mouth and gnaws on them quite a bit of the time.

Scarlett, you fill me with so much joy. Its hard to believe youre mine.
