My mom had her first of two knee replacement surgeries and is recovering well. She had a lot of problems with the pain medicine at first but now is home and only on Tylenol. I cant believe how fast they have you walk on a new knee but Im glad she is home. I wish so badly I could be in Kansas helping to care for her and keep her company.
I found out some bad news last night and had a hard time with it. I feel so awful for my parents but have to remember that they are in Gods hands and he WILL provide. They have been through this mess before, and will make it through again. I will continue praying for them and giving them all the support I can. They are my heros and even when life isnt easy, they are positive and trusting. What inspiration!
We are excited and ready to move to Summit. I hope that it happens this weekend!!! Scarlett is having a hard time around other people, even Nick and grandparents here. She is having serious "stranger" anxiety and constantly searches for me if shes not in my arms. Otherwise, shes such a happy little kid. She is reaching for EVERYTHING and almost sitting up on her own. She seems to get bored easily and is playing with all of her toys (and all of the other things around the house that are safe for her to have). I havent started any solids with her but I know they are coming up pretty soon.
She had her "4 Month" Drs appointment this week. She was 14 lbs 8 oz. and 25 inches long. She was only in the 26th percentile for weight. Her shots were of course horrible to watch her going through but we made it out okay. The pain your heart feels when your child is in pain is immense. She slept really well that night and every since... hooray!
Speaking of sleeping, it is the strangest thing when you have a baby and they do something one way for weeks or months and then all the sudden do something else. She was waking up very frequently at night and it was getting awful, also, her naps during the day were 20 or so minutes and it was not easy for this mom with no sleep. And then, all of the sudden she started sleeping so well. She was going to bed at 5pm all week and only waking up a couple times to eat. Her naps went from 20 minutes to over an hour. The weirdest part was that it was not gradual it was sudden... one day one thing, the next something completely different. But I will say, Im not complaining.
