26 years!

Well, Happy Birthday to me haha

I am a whopping 26 years old now and cant really tell you where the time went. I feel like it was only yesterday that I was in high school writing notes to my girl friends about which boys were cute and all other of the latest gossip. I love to reminisce so even just saying that brings the memories flooding in. Maybe a post on that later?? :-)

I had a pretty good birthday. I was so happy that Matt, Lorin, Bobby and Jenna were here or it would have been quite lonely with Nick working all day. We went to Koto Japanese restaurant in Albany and sat at a Hibachi table and ate sushi. I couldnt have asked for a better time. I tried sword fish which was great and Matt Gray ate miso soup, and he tried sushi. Granted, he almost puked it up, but it got a good laugh out of me! The babies were good and loved watching the chef work his magic. Lorin, Jenna, Scarlett and I then headed to the mall to watch Breaking Dawn Part 1. I was anxious to see the movie but a little apprehensive to bring Scarlett. I had watched a movie at the theater with her when she was really little but now she is much more... *ahem* expressive, happy or sad. But, my perfect little baby fell asleep nursing during previews and didnt make a sound until I sat her up during the credits. The movie was loud so I had to allow her to just nurse throughout but I was able to sit and enjoy the ENTIRE movie... I would say that was her birthday gift to me. That night Matt fried a turkey and along with everyone that was staying over here Beth & Peter, June, John, and Gordon all came over and we had some food, drinks, and cake. Woah, the cake was gooood! I cant wait to try out the recipe. I believe it was called "Better Than Sex", and while I cant agree whole heartedly, it was pretty darn good haha.

Im so thankful to share my birthday with these amazing people. I felt very loved and I dont think your birthday can get any better than to feel like that. I missed my sister, nephew and parents so much... not to mention all my California friends... but it only makes looking forward to seeing them that much sweeter.

I can not wait to see what the next 26 years brings. Hopefully many more laughs and love from my darling husband and daughter.
