Thanksgiving

I have countless things to be thankful for. I thank God everyday for my beautiful, healthy baby and my wonderful husband. I am thankful for our house (even with the problems, its a blessing to have somewhere to go) and the rest of my incredible family (both my born into family, and married into). I am thankful for a healthy, strong body and for being employed. And lastly, thank God for the military and those that are fighting for us to consider celebrating this very important holiday.

Thanksgiving started with Matt, Lorin, Jenna, Bobby, and Jackson (including all dogs) coming to visit. They were planning on moving Matt and Lorin into their new home but they seemed to have just as many problems with that as we did with our home. Tracy was gracious and invited the whole gang to the Chichester Thanksgiving. The food was awesome and I even got compliments on my **flooded** fruit pizza. Nick spent the day hunting and killed his first dear. It was a button buck so he wasnt thrilled, but much happier than if he had come out empty handed. Scarlett was in a good mood at dinner and sat with grandma which was nice. Madalyn, Jennas daughter, commented on Scarletts ears and said they were just so cute.

We had the Gray thanksgiving on Saturday at Beth and Peters house. I made chocolate cream pie cups and they looked and tasted really awesome. I am quite proud of myself.. haha just kidding, they came from a box :-) Lorin made her deviled eggs and Matt fried up a turkey. The food was AWESOME and the company was so much fun. Im finally starting to find my spot in the Gray extended family. Scarlett slept pretty much the whole time so I was able to relax and talk and laugh and all those good things. I do love my time spent with my daughter, but its also nice to get a little time to just be "me" as well.

The bad part of the evening came when Nick called and said our house was flooding. Water was pouring in through the sheet rock and was coming through the light fixture like rain. Oh boy. Good thing he was there and able to save our rug and belongings. He turned the water off and Joe came the next morning to fix the problem. Just another thing to add to the list at this point. We have very good renters insurance and will be out of here as soon as possible.

Lots of Thanksgiving pictures to update in this post when Tracy sends them my way. Scarlett had the cutest dress and tights on, so I cant wait to show her off.
