This is why Im loving life

I feel like Scarlett is already getting so big! She's more and more alert as the days pass. This week she held her head up for about 20-30 seconds on her own and is making eye contact for a few seconds at a time. Her bath time is so much fun! As long as she is taking her baths with me she plays and kicks in the water its wonderful! Everytime Nick talks she starts looking for his voice and he's starting to really enjoy that. Madison came to visit this week and it was really nice to be able to show her off  :-) Its such a wonderful thing when people love your child!

Scarlett also had her 2 week doctors appointment. She has gained 2 oz since birth which puts her at 8lbs 12oz. She is 21 1/4 inches long (grew 1/4 inch). The doctor listiened to her heart for a few extra minutes because of my request that she did with the heart problems we have in our family. She said that she looks perfect! I thank God everyday for my beautiful, healthy baby!

Its Friday and we dont have any plans for the weekend. Were actually anxiously waiting for Beth (Grandma) and Matty to arrive next Wednesday. I booked my tickets to move to NY and its starting to feel so real, and so soon!! Were going to be able to stop in Wichita for a few days before getting to NY so hopefully we can drive to NE and see family. It will be wonderful.
