Time is going by TOO DARN FAST!

I have to say that Scarlett seems to growing up faster and faster lately. She is making such huge leaps in her cognitive development that it makes her seem so much more like a little kid and less like a baby (which I understand is normal and is supposed to happen this way lol) It just seems to be happening so quickly.

Lets catch you up:
-She is walking. 100% all the time and has been for about a year. She is no longer "toddling" or falling very often, and it quite coordinated. She is gaining speed and LOVES to walk as far away from me as possible (far cry from the kid that wouldnt even let me put her down for months)
-She loves to kiss and hug. She will come at you with mouth wide open for a kiss (Reminds me of Seth, my heart melts). And if you ask her for a hug she will be sure to come give you one, unless of course she thinks if she runs the other way that you will chase her... which is very quickly becoming her favorite game.
-If I say "Im gunna get you" or "Come here" she will run around the coffee table waiting for me to play tag. Its cute, but Im guessing it will be less cute when shes a little older, a little faster, and its something more urgent that a poopy diaper. But for now, pretty darn cute.
-She hasnt taken to signs much but has "the point" down pat. She walks around the house like a zombie... with her arms straight out and mumbling something or other. She signs for eat but only after I ask her if she wants to eat (she will run to her chair and shove her fingers in her mouth, close enough, right?) and if she wants to go to sleep she will come over, climb onto my lap, and bang on my chest. Cute.... not really. I nurse her to sleep so that is what she wants and as much as I try to teach her another way of communicating it... it has not worked. SO banging on my chest it is, lol.
-She knows and LOVES her bath. She will run to the stairs at our house, or to the bathroom at Grandmas trying to climb in the tub. Her first "word" besides mama and dad the other day was "Baa, baa, baa" meaning bath.
-She loves blankets, stuffed animals, and real animals. She wants to hug them and lay on them. She attacks all cats and dogs and wants them to lay down so she can completely envelop them with a hug. She always hands me her blankets when I come to get her out of her bed, and she has her "Ellie" in the car to hold on to. The other day she saw a very (non soft) ceramic bear and she hugged it. I thought it was more because it was soft but obviously not.
-She is sleeping through the night, with one wake up usually really early in the morning (between 4 and 5) when I rock her for a minute and put her back to sleep until 7ish. She goes to bed around 730pm and its soooo nice when she does. She is still napping twice on most days but with my new job Im thinking one long nap would be better, so we will see how that goes. Im slowly learning that I dont get to decide things like that when it comes to her, the kid has a mind of her own.
-She is generally happy unless she gets tired. Then its a very fast decline into cranky... and I know its time for nap right away.
-She has really started to become more and more excited about being around Nick. The other day she wanted to go to him and hugged him so tight. It was heartwarming. And, when I took her back so I could put her in the car she screamed until I put her back in her arms. It was the first time and Nick and I loved it.... BUT, when I really did need to strap her in she was trying to climb out of the car seat so she could see him in the front seat. He had to literally poke his head over her seat (since she is still rear facing) so she would calm down and be strapped in.
-She is 19lbs so slowly but surely growing. Good girl!
-She has become picky while eating and does like to try things...even when she has had them before. I dont know if she forgot or just "changed" her mind. I tried to give her strawberries today (which she has always loved) but she refused. I try to put some on her lips and then she might eat it. She LOVES hot dogs (goodness) and fruit chews... both of which I hate giving to her too much. But, evidently shes growing so things are fine.
-She loves her cups and drinks a lot of water and some milk. Sometimes she will have more than one cup of milk but not very often. She likes to carry her water cup around the house all day.
-She loves swimming and playing with water. I have a hard time doing the dishes when she is awake because she cries and whines at my legs wanting me to pick her up so she can put her hands under the faucet. She LOVES water.
-She has 5 teeth that are all the way grown in, but three more coming in right now. Then she will have 4 top middle and 4 bottom middle.
-We love to watch Scarlett just do laps around our living room and the coffee table. She is the best!

I suppose that catches you up to speed for now when it comes to Scarlett. Heres what else is happening in life:

-In regards to buying our log cabin.... we got the commitment letter from the lender. We then ordered the appraisal which took FOREVER due to really tragic circumstances for the appraiser but finally it was done. The house was approved based on us needing railings and propane to test the heat. Nick and Peter put in the failings and did a FABULOUS job. We ordered the second appraisal and that is where we stand. Hopefully that will be done this week, the house with be approved and we close in 2 weeks. The wait has been long and painful, but will be worth it because we LOVE this house. Its unique and needs a lot of work, which has always been our dream.

-Total Body Success. I am starting a business. In fact, the business is officially starting in one day. Im ecstatic. It is a complete and personalized weight loss and fitness program. We have spin, TRX, obstacle courses, personal training, group training, nutrition counseling and ACCOUNTABILITY. I have 15 or so spots depending on their schedules and 10 of the spots filled. Its wonderful but I cant believe how successful it has been so far, and it hasnt even started!! Im excited for the change it brings in my schedule, in our bank account, and in the participants lives. Yay!

I think that is it for now. We are doing quite well :-) Life is great! We are so blessed.
