Three Ring Circus: Scarletts First Birthday!!!

Scarlett is ONE!! I just can not even believe that it has been a year since this amazing child has come into our lives. So much has happened and so much has changed. I feel like I cant imagine life without her. I am so blessed to be her mom. God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams with the family he has given to me.

Her birthday was a really great day and her party was perfect. We started the morning with Nick going to work and her and I just spending the morning together. We went to the donut place and she had her first bites of a chocolate frosted donut, which she loved. After her morning nap we went to WalMart and bought a bunch of things for her party. We went to Junes house and played while making some salads and cupcakes. In the afternoon we went to Beth and Peters house to prepare for the bbq/birthday party.

Beth bought Scarlett a new bathing suit so we got her dressed and set up her new water table! I am so excited about this new toy of hers, we can do so many things while using it. Yay! She played outside with that for a long time while everyone gathered. We started up the grill and everyone ate.

We had made chocolate cupcakes and everyone gathered to sing "Happy Birthday". She looked like a deer in headlights, just wide eyed and having no idea what was happening while everyone was singing. She then squished the cupcake in her fingers and ate all of the frosting. Cake was everywhere all over her and she clapped her hands and squealed in delight. After cake the babies played with the new toys and she especially loved the Fisher Price toy Julie brought that Nick used to play with as a baby.

We had a wonderful first birthday celebrating this amazing child. Oh Scarlett, you are loved!
