Valentines Day 2012
This was Nick and mine's 5th Valentines Day together. How wonderful!
I spent the majority of my day at Best Buy in Albany trying desperately to save our picture on the computer. Of course, I had not backed them up and after Nick contracted a virus it appeared that everything had been deleted. I was heartbroken but kept telling myself to keep it together because I dont know much about computers and there was a good chance that someone who did could save my files. And, that was good thinking because all the files were still there it was just that the virus had "hid" them to look deleted. So, after all that was taken care of I went home and started immediately backing everything up. Lesson learned.
I was going to make Nick "Bomb Sandwiches" as we lovingly refer to them in our home, which are basically pot roast sandwiches. Theyre easy but really yummy and Nick loves them. (So do I :-) And I made chocolate covered strawberries and put them in the shape of a heart and put chocolate covered pretzels as an arrow going through the heart. It was cheesy but cute, and I knew he would appreciate the thought. Were trying to save for our house so it just wasnt in the budget to spend much money. Beth ended up actually doing the roast for Peter and Nick was going to eat over there because I had work so dinner was great and I will just get to make it for him early next week.
I put a card in with his lunch that said I think about telling you all day how much I love and appreciate you but life gets hectic and I forgot so this is my chance... which is true. I try to always remember but I dont think it can ever be said enough. Appreciation goes a long way in a marriage, I think. And I got him another card about how much I love him and while I love our memories I love also looking to the future which is so fitting right now with our baby and the house and all the exciting things coming our way.
Nick bought me a fold out card that said he loved me more today than when we met and that was the best thing he could have ever said. Im so blessed, and in love, and happy in my marriage. I pray someday Scarlett will feel the same.
We also got some realy great news right before I had to be at work. WE WERE PRE-APPROVED FOR OUR HOUSE!! That means, we got the go ahead to make the offer and enter the next stage of the house buying experience. We are so excited and Im anxiously waiting for it to be after 9am so I can call our realtor and let him know. We are one huge step closer to being home owners of our dream home. Wow!
Scarlett was great all day. My heart overflows with love for her.
