8 MONTHS OLD!

My sweet little baby is growing up so fast!

Scarlett is ( I cant even believe Im saying this but...) 8 months old! Time is FLYING! Im holding on for dear life and trying to savor every moment.

She had her 6 month well baby check a couple days past the 8 month mark and we found out she is such a little peanut. She is 16 lbs 1 oz and 26 inches long. They had to measure her head twice to make sure it was growing correctly but the doctor said she is perfect. She has two teeth on the bottom and her hair is filling in more and more each week. The doctor was a little concerned with the amount of solid food she is eating and that she is not sleeping through the night. Thats right, shes still waking up numerous times in the night... bummer. She wanted me to make sure that she was getting all the iron she will need when her iron stores are up at 9 months old and there is none in breastmilk. Otherwise, she is right on track. She not mobile yet she reaches and will begin to get in the crawling position before flopping on her stomach. She's trying really hard. She is pulling herself up to standing with my hands all the time and now trying to do it with whatever she can reach. She just started walking if shes holding onto my fingers which is really fun and cute. She was doing great when I had to work but in the last week has had a hard time. I hope that resolves itself soon because it makes me very sad :-( She still twirls around her wrists all the time and is nursing very well. She has bitten me a couple times but nothing bad. She babbles all the time and says the "ma", "ba", "pa","da", and "ya" sounds mostly. I love when she smiles with her mouth closed because it makes me look like a little kid. She is wearing 6-9 month clothing mostly, sometimes smaller and sometimes bigger. She is up to date on all of her shots until her first birthday.

Nick is excited that the baby phase will soon be over and she will be talking and walking. We love her so very much. Somtimes I feel an overwhelming feeling to squeeze her as hard as I can (which I dont haha). She is fun and beautiful and growing into such a perfect little person.
