We decided it was a little too cold for us to be outside trick-or-treating or anything too festive so we just went to dinner together and it was very nice. I had not purchased a costume for her but we took the most adorable pictures of her inside of a carved pumpkin to share with our family. They turned out precious! I told Grandma Suzy about the pictures and cant wait to send them to her. When Matt was visiting he showed them one of the pictures and they said "Well Ill be damned, that's a real pumpkin right there" HAHA! Oh and speaking of my grandparents, Scarlett laughed into the phone with Grandpa Max and he laughed back. What an awesome moment. They love her so much and I'm so thankful to have a daughter with 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 6 great-grandparents and 1 great-great-grandmother... wow! She has a lot of love, and a lot of wisdom coming her way :-)
Were getting ready to move to Summit. This week Nick and I went to buy our new washer and dryer (Yay!) and I went with Beth to wash the windows. Windows in old houses are a pain in the neck to clean, holy moly! The house was still pretty much in shambles so I hope they get it finished and we can get to moving in!
The weather has been beautiful. We have taken a lot of walks around town, around the college, picking pine cones and fun fall things. I love Scarlett dressed up in cute winter hats and boots. And I love being out and active while the weather still permits. We have good company with Beth.
Matt and Lorin have arrived in New York. I cant WAIT to see them and have Lorin finally meet her niece. I still can not believe that they are going to be living here. It almost brings me to tears to think about having him close. Now... how do I convince Kels and Mom and Dad to move this way as well??? I think one visit and they it wont take too much convincing. Its too beautiful here not to love.
Scarlett is becoming majorly attached to her mother and cries if someone else is holding her and I am in the room. I love her and want her to be able to enjoy everyone loving on her, but I also FIERCELY believe in babies needing their mothers and have no problem happily accommodating her through this stage.
