Matt and Lorin are engaged!!!!! I am gaining another sister, and I cant wait. They have been together for so long it already feels like she is a part of the family, but Im happy to finally be making it official. They are good for each other. They understand the ups and downs of relationships, and only seem to be getting better with time. I cant wait for the wedding, and I am so blessed with such an awesome family!
Things in New York are going pretty well. Scarlett is getting bigger and bigger, its unreal. Shes really starting to react to people and her surroundings. She "stands" for a long time and loves it. She tries blowing raspberries after I blow them at her, and also is trying to click with her tongue. Its amazing to watch her mimic me. Shes happy and smiling all the time. She definetly lets me know when shes unhappy but for the most part shes a very content little girl. Shes starting to grasp a few teething type of toys and chews on everything. Shes ROLLING OVER! I couldnt believe it but now shes nonstop. She does get stuck on her stomach which she doesnt like but she will learn soon. We receieved a Bumbo seat and shes a little small for it but she likes that as well. She did better in the car the other day when I got a blanket for her to hold and put in her mouth but I kept feeling like she might choke, so I bought a mirror to watch her. Oh, the irrational fears of being a mother.
Nick started his new job today and so far its going great. He will start out with a lot of over time so thats money in our pockets which is wonderful. I have my second interview next week which I am very anxious about, so prayers for that.
Emily and Austin spent a week here with us and we had a pretty good time with them. We went to the city and tried on dresses with June, Jenna and Jackie which was a very fun day and Emily had her fitting which she looked beautiful. We threw them an engagement dinner and I even painted decorations (So not my thing, but it turned out very nice) Scarlett had her "2 month" Drs appointment last Friday and had her first set of shots so she wasnt very excited to be at the party but we made it through.
Speaking of shots, thank God June came with me. I just wanted to vomit watching her hurt like that. Im glad its over but I never want to do it again. Boo!
I had a nasty cough which is finally over with so its time to work out again. I have about 10 days before CA and another week after that before the wedding... I definetly want to feel good so I need to work hard and make it happen. I have a few other "reachable goals" to improve my mood and Im excited about those.
Lastly, thank God for my sister. Shes my best friend in the world and I truly, truly do not know what I would do with out her.
